Distribution by jurisdiction requirements: for entire grant period at least half of all judgments submitted must come from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland; at least one quarter of judgments must be originally in French and one quarter in German; the remainder must cover at least 10 other EU+ countries.

Funding model, budget and financial rules

Form of grant:lump sum action grant. Funding rate used to fix lump sum: 95% of estimated project budget (or lower, if requested). Maximum grant per project: must not exceed €104,500. EUAA expects to fund one project but reserves the right not to award all funds. Projects must comply with highest ethical standards, EU values (Article 2 TEU and Article 21 of the EU Charter), and applicable EU, international and national law. Use of AI must comply with the AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) and be subject to human quality review; applicants must disclose use of generative AI in the application. Security: Not applicable. Restrictions: entities subject to EU restrictive measures or conditionality measures are ineligible.
